Thailand Building Fair concludes, exploring smart and green solutions at 2023 edition

Bangkok, 8 November 2023. Thailand Building Fair (THBF) 2023 saw a successful three-day run from 1 – 3 November at the Bangkok International Trade & Convention Centre (BITEC). Under the theme “Building the future of work and living” the fair explored a variety of products and solutions in building information management, lighting controls and sensors, solar-powered lighting, IT systems and more.

Thailand Building Fair 2023 returns this week with a spotlight on smart and sustainable urban spaces

Bangkok, 31 October 2023. Thailand Building Fair will return to the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC) from 1 – 3 November 2023 to showcase the latest in intelligent and environmentally friendly building and lighting technologies. Running in parallel with Secutech Thailand, these two fairs will host over 200 exhibitors from the ASEAN region and beyond. A diverse fringe programme covering pertinent topics in real-estate, architecture, and net-zero construction will also run alongside the fair.

Secutech Thailand moved to 2023 with concurrent Thailand Lighting and Building fairs to be merged

Originally scheduled to run from 30 November – 2 December 2022 at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre, Messe Frankfurt’s technology fairs in Thailand will now be held from 1 – 3 November 2023. The decision was made to allow the security, lighting and building industries adequate time to recover. In addition, the Thailand Lighting Fair will be merged into the Thailand Building Fair in order to capitalise on the success of the fairs’ smart city approach from previous editions.

Secutech Thailand, Thailand Lighting Fair and Thailand Building Fair will now take place in 2022

In response to recurrent outbreaks of Covid-19 in Thailand and surrounding ASEAN countries, Messe Frankfurt has decided to reschedule its trio of technology trade fairs for the Thai market until 2022. Originally scheduled to take place concurrently this November, Secutech Thailand, Thailand Lighting Fair and Thailand Building Fair have now been moved to the new timeslot of 30 November – 2 December 2022 at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre.

Messe Frankfurt defers Secutech Thailand, Thailand Lighting Fair and Thailand Building to 2021

Messe Frankfurt has announced the deferment of its popular trio of technology trade fairs for the Thai market due to travel restrictions effecting business travel to the country. Secutech Thailand, Thailand Lighting Fair and Thailand Building Fair, originally scheduled to be held concurrently from 25 – 27 November at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre, will instead take place from 24 – 26 November 2021 at the same venue.

Thailand Lighting Fair and Thailand Building Fair 2020 will illuminate infrastructure opportunities within the ASEAN region

Later this year, Thailand Lighting Fair (THLF) and Thailand Building Fair (THBF) will proudly embrace a new show theme of ‘Cities and Buildings of the Future’ at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre, from 25 – 27 November 2020. Under the new show theme, the fairs will showcase how the infrastructure opportunities within the region have led to the development of both lighting and building technology solutions for three key sectors: cities, buildings and factories.

Thailand Lighting Fair and Thailand Building Fair 2019 fuel ASEAN’s rising IoT and smart city market

The 2019 editions of Thailand Lighting Fair (THLF) and the Thailand Building Fair (THBF) were held successfully from 28 ‒ 31 October at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre. Together with the concurrently held Secutech Thailand, the three trade fairs debuted the Smart City Solutions with the goal of introducing fairgoers to smart city business opportunities and business networks across the entire smart city ecosystem.

Thailand Lighting Fair and Thailand Building Fair 2019 to inspire smart city development in ASEAN countries

Under the new show theme “City + IoT – a sustainable and liveable future”, Thailand Lighting Fair (THLF) and Thailand Building Fair (THBF) will be returning to Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC) from 28 – 31 October 2019. Held concurrently with Secutech Thailand, the three trade fairs will bring together more than 250 brands and companies to showcase the latest smart city solutions. The trade fairs will also consist of diversified event programme sessions to foster in-depth discussion on diverse topics surrounding the development of a sustainable and liveable future.

Smart city development to the fore as Thailand Lighting Fair and Thailand Building Fair embrace new show theme and date

Thailand Lighting Fair and Thailand Building Fair will embrace a new show theme of “City + IoT – a sustainable and livable future” for the 2019 editions of the shows, located at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre from 28 – 31 October. The two fairs will be held concurrently with Secutech Thailand and Digital Thailand Big Bang for the first time, and will aim to offer exhibitors and visitors an industry-wide overview of smart city developments ready for the ASEAN region.

Secutech Thailand, Thailand Lighting Fair, Thailand Building Fair and Digital Thailand Big Bang: Inaugural Smart City Solutions Week

As one of ASEAN’s leading business destinations for smart city solutions, Messe Frankfurt in collaboration with Digital Economy Promotion Agency (DEPA) will host the inaugural Smart City Solutions Week in Thailand from 28 ‒ 31 October 2019. Messe Frankfurt’s brand shows for the smart city industry ‒ Secutech Thailand, Thailand Lighting Fair and Thailand Building Fair ‒ will showcase innovative smart city solutions, while the focus on digital infrastructure will be at the DEPA-organised Digital Thailand Big Bang show. Smart, sustainable and human-centric lighting solutions headline Thailand Lighting Fair 2018

Thailand Lighting Fair was held concurrently with Thailand Building Fair and Secutech Thailand from 8 ‒ 10 November 2018 at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre. Collectively, the three shows gathered 300 exhibitors from 18 countries and regions and welcomed 10,270 visitors over the three-day fair period.

Messe Frankfurt acquires Thailand Lighting Fair and Thailand Building Fair

Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media Ltd has acquired Thailand Lighting Fair and Thailand Building Fair to expand the worldwide portfolio of its Light + Building brand of trade fairs. Powered by Messe Frankfurt since their inception in 2015, the two fairs will now officially form part of the Light + Building family that totals 15 fairs around the globe. Messe Frankfurt will leverage its extensive international experience in growing trade fairs, while at the same time utilise its local organising partners' knowledge to propel the fairs forward as ASEAN’s leading trade fairs for lighting and building technology, design and solutions.
